Accessibility

USA Times aims to be readable by everyone. We design and build the site with WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our reference standard.

What we aim for

  • Text alternatives for images.
  • Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements.
  • Sufficient color contrast for body text.
  • Screen reader compatibility.
  • Clear, structured headings.

What we know we need to improve

We are a new publication and not every page has been audited. If you encounter an accessibility issue, email achir@usatimes.com with the URL and a description. We aim to respond within five business days.

Alternative formats

If a story is inaccessible to you in its published form, contact us and we will work to provide an alternative (plain-text email, large-print PDF) where possible.
